Golf Lessons in Williamstown — FAQ
How much do golf lessons cost in Williamstown?
Private 60-minute lessons typically range $75–$175. Junior lessons run $40–$80 per session. Many instructors offer package discounts of 10–20%.
Do I need to be a club member to take a lesson?
Most teaching pros accept non-members at their club's practice facility. Check the instructor's club affiliation — a few private clubs restrict lessons to members and guests.
How many lessons do I need as a beginner?
Most beginners feel comfortable on a full course after 6–10 lessons. The first 2–3 sessions cover grip, stance, and basic swing mechanics. Budget $400–$800 for a solid introductory package.
Are GrumpyGopher instructors certified?
Every credential badge (PGA, LPGA, TPI, USGTF) shown on a profile has been verified. Listings without a badge have not yet provided proof of certification.

Decades ago, I took golf as a college elective, with an interest to play golf. That desire never occured because I thought it would be too slow of a sport. Recently, I have gone a few times to a driving range and a chip/putt site. Of course I was lousy so I decided to take lessons to learn proper form, swing, etc. Brian Perino was highly recommended to me. I called him to begin professional lessons. I had my first 1 hour private lesson and learned so much. I have been practicing daily and am so pleased with my improvement after 1 lesson. I don't think Brian blinks an eye when he watches my performance. He makes sure I understand his instructions. He compliments and corrects through out the hour. I can't ask for more than this. I can't wait for my next lesson and look forward to many more with Brian.
