Golf Lessons in Corpus Christi — FAQ
How much do golf lessons cost in Corpus Christi?
Private 60-minute lessons typically range $75–$175. Junior lessons run $40–$80 per session. Many instructors offer package discounts of 10–20%.
Do I need to be a club member to take a lesson?
Most teaching pros accept non-members at their club's practice facility. Check the instructor's club affiliation — a few private clubs restrict lessons to members and guests.
How many lessons do I need as a beginner?
Most beginners feel comfortable on a full course after 6–10 lessons. The first 2–3 sessions cover grip, stance, and basic swing mechanics. Budget $400–$800 for a solid introductory package.
Are GrumpyGopher instructors certified?
Every credential badge (PGA, LPGA, TPI, USGTF) shown on a profile has been verified. Listings without a badge have not yet provided proof of certification.

Jerry Bass is exceptional. He tries to find ways to communicate with each student so they clearly understand what he is teaching. He spends a lot of time in establishing a proper grip, and focuses on good fundamentals. Nominal lesson time is 30 minutes, but after taking a lot of lessons from him, there were times I scheduled a lesson to work on a particular problem. He watched me hit a few balls, figured out what I was doing wrong, corrected the problem and had me hit a few balls correctly, then said we were done, and didn’t charge for the lesson. He truly enjoys teaching golf.
