Golf Lessons in Ogden — FAQ
How much do golf lessons cost in Ogden?
Private 60-minute lessons typically range $75–$175. Junior lessons run $40–$80 per session. Many instructors offer package discounts of 10–20%.
Do I need to be a club member to take a lesson?
Most teaching pros accept non-members at their club's practice facility. Check the instructor's club affiliation — a few private clubs restrict lessons to members and guests.
How many lessons do I need as a beginner?
Most beginners feel comfortable on a full course after 6–10 lessons. The first 2–3 sessions cover grip, stance, and basic swing mechanics. Budget $400–$800 for a solid introductory package.
Are GrumpyGopher instructors certified?
Every credential badge (PGA, LPGA, TPI, USGTF) shown on a profile has been verified. Listings without a badge have not yet provided proof of certification.

I hadn't played golf in over 10 years. Kip was excellent to work with, worked with me on getting a swing that worked for me. He was patient and gave excellent instructions. I also thought that the lessons were priced very fairly for what I received. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to improve their game. He not only got me going, but also my 80-year-old father, it was great for us to be able to golf together after gaining some confidence in starting to play again after all of these years.
