About Mark
Mark Blackburn is a PGA Certified Professional and the founder of Blackburn Golf Academy at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Originally from England, Mark arrived in America in 1994 on a college golf scholarship and earned a BS in Coaching and Exercise Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. Named Golf Digest's #1 Teacher and Coach in America for 2024-2027 and a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher since 2010, he was also the 2020 PGA of America National Teacher and Coach of the Year. Mark coaches PGA Tour players including Max Homa, Chez Reavie, Harris English, and Kevin Chappell. His holistic sport science approach, "The Coaching Code," published in 2025, integrates biomechanics, motor learning, and performance psychology.
