Golf Lessons in Seattle — FAQ
How much do golf lessons cost in Seattle?
Private 60-minute lessons typically range $75–$175. Junior lessons run $40–$80 per session. Many instructors offer package discounts of 10–20%.
Do I need to be a club member to take a lesson?
Most teaching pros accept non-members at their club's practice facility. Check the instructor's club affiliation — a few private clubs restrict lessons to members and guests.
How many lessons do I need as a beginner?
Most beginners feel comfortable on a full course after 6–10 lessons. The first 2–3 sessions cover grip, stance, and basic swing mechanics. Budget $400–$800 for a solid introductory package.
Are GrumpyGopher instructors certified?
Every credential badge (PGA, LPGA, TPI, USGTF) shown on a profile has been verified. Listings without a badge have not yet provided proof of certification.

I'm a 15HC. 40 minute lesson for $65. What you get is hardly what you pay for. Told him I liked my swing and wanted to work on fundamentals such as load and compression, and he started out by trying to change my swing from the ground up and wouldn't even listen to what I was saying. When I asked for drills on load, he provided none. Only let me hit two golf balls in the 40 min session. Might have won awards over a decade ago but now hes just another out of touch boomer.
