Alan Walsh is a PGA golf instructor at Villages Golf & Country Club in San Jose, a private 18-hole course at the center of one of Northern California's largest active adult residential communities in the Evergreen hills above Silicon Valley. The Villages membership is made up of players who take their golf seriously — many carry single-digit handicaps and play four or five days a week — which creates an instruction environment where students arrive with specific goals and the practice time to make real progress toward them. Walsh's program at the club covers everything from beginner introductions for new members to technical refinement for the club's most competitive players.
