Born and raised in Co. Clare Ireland, Barry was introduced to golf by his best friend, David Foley. While visiting family, the two went golfing to Tipperary Country Club. On Number 7, from 155 yards, Barry hit a 3 wood forty yards left, only to watch it slice straight back into the hole. First round, first hole-in-one. Barry is a certified Professional Golf Instructor, and his passion for golf, great sense of humor, and aptitude for teaching has led to instruction of over 2,000 golfers and a thriving business in his now-hometown of Warrenton, Virginia. Barry attributes golf’s lifelong lessons for molding him into who he is today. When you get a chance, ask him about his father (aka golf partner, advisor, number one fan).
