Brian Lewis teaches at La Jolla Country Club, one of the most prestigious private clubs in San Diego and a course with a design lineage that traces to the early twentieth-century golden age of American golf architecture. The layout has hosted USGA championships and produced generations of San Diego's top competitive players, and the demands of the course — which rewards shot-shaping, creative club selection, and consistent ball-striking from a variety of lies — shape the kind of instruction Lewis delivers to members. Playing and teaching at a venue that has served as a proving ground for elite amateurs and professionals creates a standard of seriousness that permeates how the club approaches player development across all handicap levels.
