Bryan Carlson teaches at Canyon Lake Country Club in Canyon Lake, a private gated community and club in Riverside County built around the man-made Canyon Lake reservoir that serves as the social and recreational center for one of Southern California's more unusual residential developments — a community where residents interact daily by boat as much as by car. The golf course at Canyon Lake operates within this tight-knit community context, and Carlson's instruction serves a membership that plays together regularly and takes the club's competitive events seriously. His teaching covers the full range of the club's membership, from beginners and juniors developing their games through the club's youth programs through competitive players preparing for club championship and Inland Empire amateur events.
