Golf Lessons in Destin — FAQ
How much do golf lessons cost in Destin?
Private 60-minute lessons typically range $75–$175. Junior lessons run $40–$80 per session. Many instructors offer package discounts of 10–20%.
Do I need to be a club member to take a lesson?
Most teaching pros accept non-members at their club's practice facility. Check the instructor's club affiliation — a few private clubs restrict lessons to members and guests.
How many lessons do I need as a beginner?
Most beginners feel comfortable on a full course after 6–10 lessons. The first 2–3 sessions cover grip, stance, and basic swing mechanics. Budget $400–$800 for a solid introductory package.
Are GrumpyGopher instructors certified?
Every credential badge (PGA, LPGA, TPI, USGTF) shown on a profile has been verified. Listings without a badge have not yet provided proof of certification.

This has nothing to do with a personal lesson from Cody, but rather with integrity and his willingness to help out a new instructor whom he has never met.
I am just beginning my teaching career, after retirement, and made a call to Cody relative to a product he is associated with.
I was most appreciative of his time and willingness to guide a novice through a wide variety of details pertaining to the business of teaching.
Very few people, in my many years in business, would have taken the time to go through a wide variety of subjects, listen to my questions, and provide keen insights.
A rare breed indeed, willing to help others like he did. Thank you so much for your time!
