About Daniel
Daniel "Dan" Polites is a PGA Professional, Hall of Fame Coach, and owner/operator of DP Golf Center in O'Fallon, Illinois since 1989. A PGA member since 1992, Dan is a Ferris State University graduate, six-time PGA Award winner, and Golf Digest Top 10 in State instructor. He received the PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award (2019) and three Horton Smith Awards. Author of "Golf For Rookies" (1996) and creator of "72 Tips to Shoot 72," Dan coached Althoff Catholic High School for 24 seasons, winning two IHSA State Championships with a 298-104 match record. His celebrity students include Cardinals manager Whitey Herzog, tennis great Jimmy Connors, Olympic gold medalist Dawn Harper, and NFL Hall of Famer Orlando Pace.
