How much do golf lessons cost in Bluffton?
Private 60-minute lessons typically range $75–$175. Junior lessons run $40–$80 per session. Many instructors offer package discounts of 10–20%.
Do I need to be a club member to take a lesson?
Most teaching pros accept non-members at their club's practice facility. Check the instructor's club affiliation — a few private clubs restrict lessons to members and guests.
How many lessons do I need as a beginner?
Most beginners feel comfortable on a full course after 6–10 lessons. The first 2–3 sessions cover grip, stance, and basic swing mechanics. Budget $400–$800 for a solid introductory package.
Are GrumpyGopher instructors certified?
Every credential badge (PGA, LPGA, TPI, USGTF) shown on a profile has been verified. Listings without a badge have not yet provided proof of certification.

Met John at the driving range at Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee, FL. I was struggling with blocking a 7 iron. John noticed my frustration, came over and introduced himself. I’m an older golfer and can’t turn into my backswing like I used to. John made some suggestions Re: setting up with my right foot back (kind of a closed stance) to give me a path to a deeper turn on my backswing. His advice helped immediately but I will need to work on it for a while to gain some consistency. John’s advice was very much appreciated by this frustrated golfer. He’s a very personable man and obviously knows the game very well. I very much appreciated is advice!
