Riley Michaelis, PGA, is a Director of Instruction based at the Sepulveda Golf Complex in Encino, California, where he brings a dynamic, student-focused approach to golf coaching. A 2014 graduate of the Golf Academy of America in San Diego, Riley was immediately hired by the popular destination golf school Golf Made Simple, where he rapidly advanced to Lead Coach, teaching thousands of hours of lessons to golfers of all levels. In his final two years with the company, he served as Lead Instructor Trainer, developing and mentoring over 20 instructors in the Golf Made Simple teaching philosophy. Riley's approach emphasizes helping players discover the feel of their natural golf swing while understanding cause-and-effect relationships that enhance ball contact and flight. He maintains a balanced blend of feel and technique without creating information overload, making his instruction accessible to beginners and experienced players alike. With 135 active students and an impressive following in the Southern California golf community, Riley utilizes advanced technology including Full Swing Launch Monitor, Sports Box AI 3D Motion analysis, and OnForm Video Analysis. He also serves as Director of Instruction at California Junior Golf, demonstrating his commitment to developing the next generation of players.
