Willie Shankle is a PGA Class A Member and accomplished golf instructor who has been a respected professional in the Houston golf community for over 20 years. Based at Memorial Park Golf Course, one of Houston's premier public courses recently redesigned by Tom Doak, Shankle combines strong playing ability with a genuine passion for teaching golfers of all skill levels.

A native Houstonian, Shankle played high school golf at Ross Shaw Sterling before earning a full golf scholarship to Texas Southern University, where he was a four-year letterman and two-time First Team All-SWAC selection. He also serves as Head Coach of both the men's and women's golf programs at Texas Southern University, bringing his competitive experience directly into his coaching.

Shankle is known for creating a welcoming atmosphere where beginners and experienced players alike can improve their games. He takes particular pride in introducing young golfers and beginners to the sport, personally instructing junior clinics. A certified club fitter, he stays current with the latest developments in golf equipment and technology, incorporating digital video and computer analysis into his teaching to help students achieve measurable improvement.
