About Mike

Mike Abate is a PGA Professional and Director of Instruction at Impact Performance Golf Learning Center at Charles T. Myers Golf Course in Charlotte, North Carolina. A two-time NJCAA All-American who played at Queens University of Charlotte, Mike turned professional in 2000 and founded the Youth Golf Foundation of North Carolina. He led PGA Junior League Team Charlotte to its first National Championship in 2022 and received the 2023 PGA Player Engagement Award for the Carolinas Section. His career includes roles as Director of Golf with Nike Golf Learning Centers and Director of Golf for The First Tee of Lake Norman.
