Golf Lessons in La Quinta — FAQ
How much do golf lessons cost in La Quinta?
Private 60-minute lessons typically range $75–$175. Junior lessons run $40–$80 per session. Many instructors offer package discounts of 10–20%.
Do I need to be a club member to take a lesson?
Most teaching pros accept non-members at their club's practice facility. Check the instructor's club affiliation — a few private clubs restrict lessons to members and guests.
How many lessons do I need as a beginner?
Most beginners feel comfortable on a full course after 6–10 lessons. The first 2–3 sessions cover grip, stance, and basic swing mechanics. Budget $400–$800 for a solid introductory package.
Are GrumpyGopher instructors certified?
Every credential badge (PGA, LPGA, TPI, USGTF) shown on a profile has been verified. Listings without a badge have not yet provided proof of certification.

I have been taking the Full Swing package of lessons at Golf Tec for the past three months with BrianCupit Cupit. To say that my swing and game has improved would be an understatement. Brian corrected my swing where now I feel confident to go out and play golf with my friends that have been playing for years. I got to play 18 holes last week at Desert Willow Mountain Course in Palm Desert and my score had improved significantly since the last time I played there. I bogeyed most holes and I even pared one of them. For me, this is a drastic improvement. I plan on continuing with Golf Tec and Brian Cupit as my coach as soon as I return to the desert in the fall. Thank you Golf Tec and Brian!!!
