Chad Pettit is a PGA golf instructor at Mission Viejo Country Club in Mission Viejo, a private club in South Orange County that has been a cornerstone of the local golf community for decades with a course set in the rolling terrain above the lake community and a membership drawn from the affluent residential developments that define this part of the county. The club provides the kind of unhurried, member-focused instruction environment that allows Pettit to build real improvement into students' games over the course of extended lesson series rather than one-off sessions, and the consistent practice access that private club membership affords tends to produce faster and more durable results than the sporadic lesson model that most public course players rely on.
